This is something I had thought about a long time ago. I was training in an outstanding school and surrounded by some unbelievably impressive teachers. I don't know about anyone else, but planning always took me and still does take me a long time, especially starting off. I am a regular listener of podcasts (not necessarily educational!) and like to listen to these when I'm traveling to and from school. This combination made me think of the idea of verbalising a proven successful lesson. I was originally going to label this as an 'outstanding' lesson, but with the more recent changes in the Ofsted framework, I decided to steer away from this language.

Yes, I know there's millions of teaching resources online, but these are not always easy to visualise in a lesson or classroom environment. I know that there are others who prefer to get ideas this way as opposed to going from page-to-page on the internet in what you 'think' might work well. My aim for this pod is to give guests an opportunity to explain WHY this is such a successful lesson. As for whether you want to use their exact ideas is completely up to you.

The reason I never got this started before was the exact reason such a high % of people don't follow through with an idea ............................. TIME.

So, here we are. 2020 - the year Covid-19 spread it's way around the world and schools closed their doors to staff and children. Millions of people across the land have suddenly got more time on their hands and this is what I have decided to spend (some of) my additional time creating.
